Solana is a blockchain platform, often grouped with Bitcoin and Ethereum as a major cryptocurrency. As of late 2025, its transaction throughput was noted as under 4,000 per second.

• Oct 2025 - Brad Gerstner said that Solana, like Ethereum, was still under 4,000 transactions per second.
• Jun 2026 - Michael Howell included Solana in a basket of cryptos (60% Bitcoin, 30% Ethereum, 10% Solana) to analyze liquidity movements.
